Will there be Skype for Nokia Belle. I have heard that there isn't working version for Belle. Any facts.. any rumours concerning this??? N8 will have Belle in near future but Skype is still needed/wanted!!

I have heard 3uk have a belle compatible Skype app in the offing so there should be generic versions coming soon.

Looking at how good relationship Nokia has with MS, they probably will provide an update once the Belle launches officialy. I think there is even a post on Skype's forums where they said the new client will come in march.

How is call quality for all you N8 Skype users?  For me it is and always has been very poor on 3G (various networks) and Wifi (several fast connections). I'm wondering if it's simply because the N8 is underpowered for this function. Thoughts?

Tried to use Skype again tonight (N8, Belle, Skype v2.1.0.23, fast wlan, no background apps running) but once again the call quality was too poor to be useful. Ended up just calling via cellular.

Belle update removed the capability of N8 to play FLV files .. at least for dark grey 0599255 .. solution is still awaited from Nokia ..

Open the .flv file from the file manager or the gallery.

In another thread I read that this is only true for flv files bigger than 35 MB (something like that). I have only one flv file with 11 MB on my N8 Belle and there was no problem playing it.

Mine are 24 MB and 29 MB files which are not playing.. btw this problem has been mentioned in Nokia FAQ and they say they are investigating it ..

I have recently upgraded my N8 to Belle and have re-installed Skype from the OVI store but when after i enter my username and password, skype shuts down. I had no problem before i upgrade the phone software.

I have the same problem. Before Bella Skype worked just fine, but now when I try to login it just shuts down
