Nokia belle update has removed the "social network" bar from my contact. So now I have to login to social app by nokia to sync with my contacts. Also I have to login to social app to see my frequently calling contact's social network status. The facebook apps is better than using nokia's social app to link to facebook.

Now the question is, how can I assign a contact's social network via phone contact list and also view their status without logging into social network? And if nokia can come out with auto&manual function/app to sync contact to their social network that would be great.

I've just updated my E6 to Belle.

  On the whole I'm really enjoying the experience - but I also have the same problem as above, how do I sync my contacts on the phone with contacts/friends on Facebook.

We were able to do this with Anna.

There is no automated way as of now. I don’t know nokia guys are working on it or not. By the way, I managed to find a way to manual update. Update your social to the latest version, scroll down to one by one contact if you find your FB contact is on your phonebook, then touch the top right '+' icon to link. If there is no photo on your phonebook contact it get updated. But if there is any changes on FB profile pic, it doesn’t get updated on your phonebook contact pic. Once done, you can see quote "see what "your contact" is up on facebook" instead of their latest post out. those minus points, nokia has to improve. They are good in hardware, but needs a lot of improvement on software to compete with latest trend.

@paramasivan: That method didn't work for me, I am on a E6 - i guessing there's a difference but the second link that kamalnm gave in his replied worked fine

I hate to say it but your right on the software front paramasivan, I also have a Android phone and the contact/facebook sync is miles ahead - still Belle is a good improvement I think.

Does anybody know how to COMPLETELY DISABLE sync between FB and phone's contacts? I don't want any sync going on without my saying so!
