Coming from an e71, then Android, and now back to Nokia with the 701. I was hoping/expecting great battery life that Nokia/Symbian has been known for.
I'm just on my second day with the phone...so the first day I chalked up to using it too much. However, this morning I charged to 100% and 7 h 58 m later it's at 19%. That's with fairly light use and "power saving mode" on more than half that time.
The Nokia Battery Monitor statistics show the background taking up most (59%). I'm not aware of many background apps, have BT off, mobile data off, wi-fi on.
Any ideas? Software version is the latest update 111.030.0609.C00.01.

i think you need to do 2-3 full charge/discharge cycles for optimum battery performance....... btw im experiencing a similar issue on my 2 day old nokia 701

Two observations since yesterday according to the battery monitor:
1) Showed 5% for awhile last night. Left if over night to let it die. This morning it was still 5%. Played angry birds for 10-15 minutes until it shutoff. (No, was not playing any games before that...only used it to drain last bit of battery)
2) Plugged it in, waited a few seconds, turned it on. Battery already showing 40%.
Is this just a case of inaccurate battery reporting?? Still, overall it lasted less than 24h with fairly light usage. I'm hoping the 2-3 charging cycles will help out.

Almost two days and at 42%. Very odd to need that long for the battery to calibrate. Never required that much of an adjustment on other phones. Noticing some other bugs in Belle...but at least this looks to be a non-issue now.
