Hello, I was just wondering if anyone else has this problem with the 6680, and if so, how do I fix it!
When I try and edit the colour palette on any of the themes, nothing happens, it just stays the original colour. I have also tried to download themes follwing the links on the phone and the phone tells me that the webpage is unavailable. I know it seems quite trivial but it's really starting to bug me! I wasn't sure if there was a fault on my phone, or maybe you just can't change the colours at all?! Anyone got any ideas?

Im afraid you cant change the colour palette of the themes, same on n70! on the 6600 you could, you could also set different icons. for some reason they seem to have done something to the programming that stops you doing it (even tho the option is there). odd i know. i dont know what links youve been following on your phone for themes, but it sounds like whatever site youre trying to access, may be having problems. try doing a google search for free themes and use your pc to put them on your phone. there are plenty of free themes out there

Additionally to previous posts I can just mention that it is possible to change colors on the color palette. However the default themes installed in the phone doesn´t allow that.

With a new theme in the phone you should however be able to change the colors.

no, unfortunately, iv found that on 6600 you can, 6630, 6680, n70 you cant. tried loadz of themes but phones wont let you : (

emmylou, when you put a new theme on you phone, dont forget to goto application manager, options, settings.... and switch software installation to 'ON' or you wont be able to install them.then you'll end up back here asking why? ... ha ha, (joking)

Just to confirm, I think the themes that are usually on the phone when you purchase it are copyrighted, either to Nokia, your network, or the retailer if they loaded them on... so the copyright protection would be what stops you changing the colour palette.

sorry, but as i posted earlier, on the 6600 you could change the colour palette but although the options are there on the 6630 and 6680, it actually does nothing. that option has been taken of the n70.


6600 options... wallpaper, COLOUR PALETTE, screen saver and ICONS on default or downloaded themes.

the only options there are when you edit a theme on the n70 are...wallpaper, powersaver and image in goto on default or downloaded theme
