Hi,

Hope I don't sound like too much of an idiot here, but getting a bit desperate. I've downloaded a couple of ringtones and I can't findt them. Where should they be?

look in the gallery, either phone or memory card. probably in sounds... digital or simple

No - I've looked everywhere in there. Is it true that it's supposed to pop up in an application when it's finished downloading?

when you say downloaded, do you mean off wap?
if you mean off wap, the tone downloads to your phone and you can listen to it BUT you then have to SAVE it. it doesnt automatically do this.
ONLY when you download a tone to your phone does the application automatically open (so you can preview it). once you have saved it, its in your gallery as i said : )

Yeah, I downloaded it from WAP. It didn't play or give me an option to save it. Or an error message, just stopped downloading.

I've tried to download a ringtone previously, which gave me an error saying it couldn't play the tone. *shrugs*

i feel stupid asking, but why are you downloading tones via wap anyway? the 6630 plays mp3s and you can use them as ringtones so why not use your pc to throw some free mp3s on it instead?

Apart from the fact I've got newphoneitis, the tune I downloaded hasn't been released yet. Please don't ask me to confess what it is!! I've emailed Orange, so hopefully I'll get a reply in the next month or so.

ha ha ha, was that a 'dig' at orange?! if you dont know how to use pc suite (or your phone) yet, why dont you buy (or borrow) a card reader? that way you can literally 'drag and drop' mp3s straight onto your memory card, bang it into your phone and youre away.

im sure if you search the net, you'll find a download site where you could get a copy of the tune you want, theres enough of them about

youve got my mind wondering now... what tune are you trying to get? PM me if your too ASHAMED to post it openly! ha ha ha
