Nokia 6600 Slide

If anyone thinking of buying the 6600i Slide, Beware!

It is a useless phone. The phone has to be placed face down to allow the ringer to be heared. One of the many 'bad design attributes.

The better phone such as 6233 are being withdrawn and no more supported.

Hm are you sure that is the Nokia wanted it to be when they thought of the ringer?! I don´t think so...
To me, it sounds like your phone is broken...maybe you should take it to a Nokia Care Point so that they´ll have a look at it...
If that is the only fault you can point out in the 6600i Slide, then it is a pretty good phone, don´t you think? :smileyhappy:

By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.

Re: Nokia 6600 Slide

There is a small opening for the speaker which happens to be on the underside (if it is laid out on it's back). That is the reason why the sound from the ringer cannot be heard. That is not a very thoughtful design. The speaker phone is feeble even after setting the sound to max. The earlier phone that I had was a 6233. Compared to the functionality of the 6233 it is pretty much useless.
