Nokia 6260 laser light

I have a Nokia 6260 for almost a year now. I observe that the phone's normal procedure is that its laser light remains on whenever it is charging and it blinks whenever someone is calling. However this laser light does not work anymore. Can anyone tell me what is the cause of this problem and if there is any way in which it can be rectified?

It isn't a laser, but a LED (Light Emitting Diode).

Nevertheless, if it has broken, it is most likely due to hardware, not software. That means you should have a Nokia repair center take look at it:
