Hey there

My nokia just happens to be within the 12 month warranty! But before I take it in I'd like to see if anyone knows what the problem could be and if it is supported by the warranty.

1. I think it has been a while now that the vibrate doesn't work. I've been missing a lot of calls and texts but I just assumed I wasn't paying attention. I confirmed the other day that vibrate does not work which makes silent mode pretty useless. And yes I have checked that it is turned on in the settings

2.  This happened literally in between text messages. I was texting my friend and all was normal then the next text I received showed as a phone number, not as the contact name. It has been happening since. It also doesn't show contact name in sent messages if I use the reply function. The only time it shows the name is when I write out a message and manually add in the contact from my list.

 Very annoying to look through all my contacts to see who texted me!

the contacts issue is normally a duplicate contact so check this 1st

now check how many text is on phone its no adviseable to stores say over 1500 text

try a soft reset the code is *#7370# security code 12345 back up user data such as contacts

try updating the firmware if not done so already

give these a go before you do anything else

What do you mean by a duplicate contact? I've only got each person/number down once.

Hmm and that's weird. In my sent messages the last message is 999/999 but my inbox says 98/1452. Is there a way I can backup my messages and still read them on my computer? Or save specific text messages while deleting the rest (there are quite a few I'd like to keep for sentimental reasons).

you can back up using pc suite

when in text ypu go to text you want to delete there is an option mark /mark all/unamark you can mark the text you want to delete this is easier for multiple earasing of text then you can save the ones you want to my folder

So apart from messing up my contacts, having too many messages can also cause my phone to stop vibrating

My Nokia 6210 Navigator Cell Phone, for a while now has stopped the contacts feature. It has all of a sudden made my contacts unusable. When i create a message and I want to add a reciepiant then it says "No Contacts" and slao when I go into my contacts they are showing but I cant search for a specific contact, Ive got to scroll down to it. I cant save a new or edit a contact. When I recieve a message then the number comes up not the persons name. What would of caused this and how can I solve this problem Please help?
