Hello Nokia

I just got a Nokia 5800 for Christmas but I have some problems with it when I send music to it, I can not see the music in music player, but only in the file manager.
Hope you can help me and excuse my bad English.

u have need to update ur music player library for this got to menu->multimedia->music player-> open it and go to player option and there slect update music library.. and ur all songs will be listid in ur MP.

Hey, can you help me out?

i have added music to my 5800 and now with some of them i get 'system error' and if i try to delete them i get "corrupt file'... i have gone on my pc and deleted all the music off, but now in the 'albums' and 'artists' list i still cant delete anything out of them??? help. ( i hope i am making sense :-) )

Backup the contents of your memory card and format it from the phone. Then, copy your content back to the memory card, and refresh the music library. This could help

i backed it up and then formatted the memory card and now i have no images or anything. and when you say 'copy content back to the memory card' where am i copying it from???

please please please, anyone, i need some help. i have only had this fone for a week im still trying to figure out how to use it. now i have backed up but dont know where all my images and things have gone!!! please help

Music Library Refresh Problem

The Music Library just doesnt refresh. The Songs are visible and play individually in the Filemanager but do not get added in the Music Library. When i select the refresh library option in the Music Player it just shows a processing dialog with message "Refreshing 0 file(s) added", nothing happens no matter how long you wait.

Solution:

- Open Windows Explorer and connect the fone to MASS STORAGE MODE

- Opened E:\Private folder
- Opened 101ffca9 Folder
- Delete the harvesterdb.dat file
- Disconnect phone from PC
- Turn device OFF then ON back again
- Refresh the music library
- Songs were added successfully

Backup means, use an external card reader or connect ure fone under MASS STORAGE MODE then copy out all ure files into a safer place (the nearest is ure computer's hard drive)

thanks for that.

i did what someone else suggested (previously in discussion) i backed up but didnt realise it had to be to the computer, an im sure i did it to the memory card. then formatted the memory card. now all of my images from the gallery are gone but the images i have assigned to contacts are still there???

It's always advisable to connect phone to computer and do a backup with Ovi suite or PC Suite at least once per month.

Sadly they've all been deleted. Formatting a memory card means bringing it back to a factory state, force deleting everything in it.
