Can anyone help??

I am currently having problems with my nokia 5800 phone, i cant receive txs as soon as some one sends it. I have to turn the phone off and on again to receive this tx. It seems as though the sim isnt registering, i am having no problem to send a tx, and usually when i do, any txs in limbo are coming through. I have already had numerous new sims, it works for 20mins and then goes back to how it what.

What do people advise?

That question came up a lot on this forum lately. It sounds like a network problem and not the phone unless if it's the phone that's not connecting to the network properly.

Try using your sim in another phone for a few days. If the behavior stops then You can try performing a soft reset

*#7370# Back up all important data before hand

If the behavior continues then it's a network problem and you should try sorting it out with them

antz_05, double check your message center number. It's a good idea to erase what's already present in Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Text msg. -> Message centres; and enter the correct one there.

Check with your network operator on what the number is.

You might like to try another network provider as well, to see if it's something to do with the network. In that case, contact your network operator and ask them to look into your issue.

If that does not help, try a factory settings restore: Type *#7780# at the home screen. Enter the security code, default is 12345.

Next thing to try is a soft reset, after backing up your phone memory. Type *#7370# at the home screen. Enter the security code, default is 12345.

i get a roblem recieving messages also.

my 5800 will stick a new text anywhere in the inbox it feels like. i then have to search through every message to see which one has a closed envelope.

anyone else get this and how do i sort it?
