Nokia 5800 camera

hi all..i recently bought a nokia 5800 xm....

the close-up photos taken from the camera appear fine and normal...however other photos when taken are full of white hazy appearance..

do i need to change any settings or is there a problem with the set??

pls help..thanx in advance

might be a normal problems encountered on an ordinary camera (like over exposed, etc) but then...try examing the camera cover for any scartches.

dont worry thats just the way the 5800s camera is

its not all tis chalked up to be, i've beens truggling with the same prblem fro the past 2 years almost

 

hopefully the N8's camera will be as good as they claim

lol i wonder..

Clarity of close-up images awesome...but images of medium to far objects look like they had been taken in a place full of fog....just impossible to make out anything

I've not had that problem with my 5800 - but just a thought - sometimes the 'autoflash' goes off even outside on a bright day. In those circumstances I have at times got the whiteness you describe.

 

Do a quick test of picture quality with flash manually switched off. It may not work but it's quick, easy and free...........

 

And an afterthought. Sometimes my autofocus doesn't. Very annoying and you have to retake, the autofocus sometimes taking ages to work itself out. That would produce the fog you are mentioning too.
