Hello. Just bought a 5800 which is advertized more or  less as a "music machine".

I find it impossible to get web broadcasts sound from BBC, Swedish Radio, Danish Radio or Norwegian Radio from their web broadcast live streamings. WHY NOT?

Have not tested the Finnish YLE.

With the functioning Wlan this would be a superb possibility for a traveller around the world having a free or cheap Wlan at his disposal at many sites.

And does anyone know if Skype is functioning? (or the so called Fringe?)

I have not testet podcasts, but I assume this is working? Live broadcasts is more important I feel.

May be the problem with SMSs not popping up unless switching the phone off and on again has got a solution?

If no web radio, but with a WLAN , I am sorry to say it is an unneccessary  "unmusical" machine.

This problem should get a very easy quick fix solution, since even YouTube streaming gives you sound.

Yes skype works with fring.
