Has anyone experienced that the alarm clock is not working when the phone is turned off?
Alarm clock works intact when the phone is switched on in all profiles, but if the phone is turned off, the alarm clock (in Silent mode always and in General mode usually) doesn't activate.
Further, when the alarm clock is set and the phone is turned off and I turn it on right at the moment, when the alarm clock should activate, the phone freezes, so the battery needs to be removed.
I have the latest software (V21.0.025).
Any ideas?

Hi filipfry,
I tried to reset the phone using *#7370#
Alarm clock worked intact after the reset, but ONLY for 1 week. Now I am experiencing the same problem again.
Maybe you should try to reset your phone too and hope the alarm clock will work for more than just a week ![]()
Cheers.

Are you using the phones default theme or have you installed one from elsewhere?
If so set it back to default and see if the problem still happens.
I've used a couple of themes now that have caused this problem.

Firmware stays the same, but you're going to have to say goodbye to everything, that is installed or stored in your phone's memory (data on memory card stays "untouched" though). Be sure to backup the phone content, before taking any actions.

ok guys this might seem a little catchy but i tried this a couple of times and it works.... try setting the snooze time for 15 minutes (default time) no minute more, not another less...
By setting it this way the alarm always works when the phone is swiched off... weird huh?

[Tnx, i have to think it through! For now i will use offline mode by night to save battery and wait for new version of os!]
I must advise you that my similar alarm problems began when I recently updated my 5800 software to v31.0.008 from v20. With v20, I wasn't aware of any alarm problems at all. It worked in any profile and turned off. Now, I can't trust the alarm at all.
I'm so sorry that I updated to v31.
Possible fixes from other discussions in this forum: setting the time to network (local) in Phone Date & Time Settings (automatic update). I might even consider buying a small alarm app -- Gr-r-r-r.

Yesterday my alarm clock did not work. The 5800 was turned off and at the time to start alarm clock, the phone froze at the logo NOKIA. I had to remove battery. My firmware is 40.0.005.
