Hey, i'm new here, but i have a question about the Nokia 5800.

When i open web, and go to youtube, there is no problem, then in the search box i fill in something i want to see and then when i found the video, I click on it.

a new screen loads, and then i see the videoplayer, but the video won't start all i see is a black screen where the video needs to play and the play button and the time bar, when i press play, still nothing happens.

what to do?

i hope somebody can help me.

Does this happen with every video or just certain ones?

Also, I'm not sure how long you've had the 5800 so forgive me if this seems obvious.. but because of the resistive touchscreen you have to be really precise when hitting buttons. The play button is very small, so you should try tapping it in a few places to make sure you are actually hitting the button. The reason I say this, is that this touchscreen took me a while to get used to after using an iPhone - it's kinda harder to use.

i checked this again, and i don't have any problem with pushing the play button, because i see the || going to > (pause to play) .. and this happens to every video, not just certain ones

by the way ;

when i drag the circle on the time bar forward.. on the black screen now there is a sort of loading image, but it keeps loading and loading, nothing else happens

(i'm sorry for my english, it's not that good, i hope you can understand what i mean.)

When you go to menu > settings > application mgr. > installed apps. do you see "flash lite" in that list?

no, i don't see any app called Flash Lite in that list .

Go to menu > applications > app. update and the phone should offer you the option to download and install flash lite.

Edit: you need an internet connection for this so normal network charges will apply unless you have a wifi connection.

i have internet connection.

but when i do the app update, it says that all updates are up to date ..

i don't see anything about Flash Lite or something.

i searched the internet a bit for this 'Flash Lite'

but i can't find any site where i can download it, to put it on my phone

so how can i ever get 'Flash Lite' on my 5800 ?

I'm honestly not sure, the phone is supposed to come with flash lite built in.. I'm not sure why yours doesn't have it. hopefully someone else will be able to help.
