Nokia 5800 Screen Problem

I just bought a new Nokia 5800 last weekend. I noticed this morning, while watching a video, that there is a small white spot on the screen, about the size of a pixel. I tried to wipe it a few times but realized it wasn't dirt or dust, it was a spec on the LCD of the phone itself. I'm a bit disappointed considering I just bought the phone. Should I be worried about this? Should I replace my phone immediately? Will that small spec become worse over time?

Re: Nokia 5800 Screen Problem

In my experience in LCD devices, they always have the policy of "there maybe some dead pixels" and unless there are a lot of them they don't change the device, you still must try it, if you are in the first 30 days after bought.

There are some "webapps" that help to fix the dead pixel problem. This is fixed with extreme changes of color and bright.

In this site you can fix the dead pixel, if that doesn't work try change the device

For the moderators, this "webapp" is nothing bad really and not violates the warranty in anyway.
