I logged on to the work wifi with my 5800 some time ago.
Ever since I've had the phone I've struggled to get the Nokia browser to automatically connect to the Orange Internet (3G) access point.
Instead it always prompts"Select Connection" and I have the options "Search for WLAN", "Internet" or "Uncategorised".
Internet always used to be "Orange Internet" but now the default is "Internet - <my work> wifi".
This would be fine if I only used the phone for internet at work, but obviously I do not.
Can anyone tell me how to put it back to having "Orange Internet" as the default, and ideally connecting automatically without the prompt.
I've found under settings>general>accesspoint you can set it to either "Always ask" "Internet" or Uncategorised" but as "Internet" is currently set as my work wifi, this isn't an option.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't have the option to delete.
I don't have any path like settings..>connection..>destinations..>internet either.
From the "homepage" of my phone, I have:
Settings>Connectivity>Wireless LAN - there I can view all the networks but I can't delete any of them
From inside the Nokia browser I have:
Options>Settings>then either General, Page, Privacy or Web Feeds

go to settings of your web browser and go to general and select your access point...
or go to settings>general>accesspoint>Internet....and delete your Wifi connection

Thanks again. I have played with these before trying to find the solution. I can't delete it anywhere.
If I go into settings>general>access point, I have three options: "Always Ask" "Internet" and "Uncategorised".
1) If I select "Always Ask" (which is what I do at the moment) I go back to the "front page" of the browser and try to go to a new website, a popup asks "select connection" and I have there choices "Search for WLAN" "Internet - <work wifi>" or "Uncategorised". "Internet - <work wifi>" is already highlighted so currently I'm working round the problem by clicking "options">"Select access point" and then "Orange Internet"
2) If I select "Internet" and go back to the homepage and try to access a new webpage it tries to connect via the work wifi.
3) If I select "Uncategorised" it immediately takes me to another screen where "Orange Java" is the only option and it's already selected.

Thanks again for continuing to try and help. It's really appreciated.
I mainly use Opera which works fine and accesses the internet fine (presumably via Orange Internet) without any pop-ups or problems.
YThis problem however only occurrs using Nokia Web Browser.
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "move this "Uncategorised" access point to internet".
The uncategorised access point appears to be Orange Java which I don't want to use.

Just found this in a thread about the E52:

I had the sameproblem with Google apps calendar / contacts sync. I setup the two accounts asdescribed above by johank and kkralo, with an exchange account for calendar andcontacts and another for mail.
It worked fine for a while, but then the calendarand contacts stopped synchronizing – without throwing an error (I just noticedthat events didn’t sync).
I discovered that my Exchange account setup had lostit’s access point (look at Menu/email/settings/Mail for Exchange/advancedsettings on the E52). Apparently this can happen when you play around with theinternet settings and allow the device to use a wifi connection when available. So, when the wifi connection is not available, the sync stoppes, and it never restarts– way to go Nokia!
I have toagree with kkralo. The E52 really isn't mature for business use.

This looks like slightly different symptoms of exactly the same problem.

That's it!
I was being very blind.
So from the frot page it's:
Menu>Settings>Connectivity>Destinations
<Work Wifi> was there at the top "Priority: 1"
