Notice that 5530 does not have 3G capabilities but you can connect to the internet via EDGE or GPRS but your internet speed will be very slow comparing to 3G........

Check out the specs here

I don't really understand what you mean. But, you can choose between the available networks when you open a link/program or something else which needs a network connection. If you for example open the Ovi Store, you'll get a menu to choose between available networks like:

WLAN

Internet (mobile or something else, depends on which setting you use)

and as last option you get, if there are any, other networks.

Like I said, you can change everything, if my Wi-Fi network is available, my phone won't even ask me which connection I'd like to use. This can be done by changing the priority of a network.

@thescorpion 2G isn't as slow as you'd think if the pages aren't too large to load. Anyway, both 2G and 3G aren't cheap and the Wi-Fi of the 5530 is quite fast.

Re: Nokia 5530

@aName - the phone asking the preferred connection will only show if the phone is set to ask for access points by default. In some countries the default setting is set to connect to mobile network.

Re: Nokia 5530

@chanchan05: I know, mine was also set to automatically connect to a mobile network when I started him up for the first time. And my phone also won't allow me to check my e-mail by using Wi-Fi, I unfortunately didn't know that and lost quite a bit of money.
