I am going to be buying a Christmas present however I am not sure which one to get. I wanted to know which one is better? Nokia 5530 or 5800

Which one has the following:

- Better screen

- Louder speakers (is 5530 same as 5800 or better?)

- Sound quality and loudness through the earphones

- USB charging

- Better battery life

- Size

I was looking at getting the Nokia 5530 as it looks much nicer and better (White Version). Has anyone ordered from here and is it unlocked to all networks? I dont trust carphone warehouse as they are really dodgy, a scamming company.

Shayesta, thought you worked for CPW?

The 5800 is better on all what you've written except size/weight.  The 5530 also has a better homescreen, but thats personal preference.  It does not have 3G or GPS.

Mobile Phone Direct always sell unlocked phones, they also run the Nokia Retail stores.

Yep I got sacked for telling the truth to customers. What happened with their devices and contract packages. They want everyone that works there to lie to customers. Also 3 of the members there use to go through peoples data on the phone and I had a very long meeting resulting in me for telling the truth. The other 3 I don't know what happend to them.

Is the 5800 not getting the homescreen like 5530? On an epxensive device (5800) you dont get it but on a 5530 (cheaper version) you get homescreen which is much better than 5800 lol.

Can we use BL-5J battery on the 5530. BL-5J and BL-4C are they not the same size?

you can get a nice 5530 at carphonewarehouse. they have a nice deal.
