I use the 11.0.054 but my 5530 has a lot of reboots.
I did deactivate Cell Broadcast, but no change.
Normaly I have only reboots by pressing the red button, but today also at starting a call.
Do you think its an software or an hardware problem ?

Its a software one. Try reinstalling your phone's firmware.

It´s not software related. I have the same problem and took it to Nokia Service Point where they upgrade it from Firmware 10 to 11 version, with no Luck.
It´s now gone for repairment. They said the signal reception, should be tuned up, because it´s weird that the phone shuts down, when you press the "Answer Button "....

Now 2 times 5530 did switch off. After some hours I did see it.
Could it be the battery ?

Hello,
I have my 5530 for 2 weeks now, barely had any problems with it at all untill yesterday.
First of all my shortcuts dissapeared and i couldnt open my contacts and keyboard anymore, this is already solved by another topic on this forum but now my phone is extremely slow.
I was very happy to notice that typing a message with this phone was a real luxury but now it suddenly isn't anymore, when i'm typing it first goes fast and than its starting to go very very slow, now i'm hping that some of u got a solution for me cause its really annoying me.
Thanks in advance.
PS: Sorry for my bad english.

Hi,
Recently whenever i receive a call and on hanging up, my phone display gets blank (black screen). None of the keys work. I then have to remove the battery to restart the phone. Anyboby got similar problems?
21-Oct-2009 05:53 AM
No, this problem I never had.
Only one time, by answering a call, phone did restart.
I dont knew, are those problems harware, or software problems ?

Bugs
1.
2. I dont use passwords so...^_^
3. Im not sure if you turned off the breathing lights?
Lacks
1. Currently playing playlist? in the Now Playing screen, select back, and it would direct you to the currently playing playlist.
2. Kinetic scrolling, well when you bought it didnt you know that it didnt have kinetic scrolling in the first place? Anyway, its rumored to be going to be added on a new firmware. Though you dont need to use the scroll bar to scroll. Whether on icons or list, you can drag. Swipe your finger downward then hold. The screen would automatically scoll downward. Or you could page up and page down. Tap the blank corner on the left of the scroll bar.
3. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Bugs
1. Internet browser. This seems to be a problem on the s60v5. This is also an issue in the 5800, which was resolved on some cases by the v31 firmware update.
2. You resolved it
3.
4. These two may be an installation issue. Try soft reset.

1. For the countdown timer, you can get an app called Time Machine free from Ovi Store. It can also count up and serve as a desk clock if you want
2. Erm, i dunno. I usually just snooze once.
3. Lower screen brightness a bit and turn bluetooth off (if you havent). That should help.
4. Which pop ups is that?
5. Hmm, debatable.

@beenlmaster: whats about reboots ?
No reboots yet ?

3. Lower screen brightness a bit and turn bluetooth off (if you havent). That should help.
I have brightness set mid way and no bluetooth.
4. Which pop ups is that?
The snooze one for example, which says alarm snoozed or something like that for n minutes. It just flashes up and then gone in about half a second.
As for reboots Mike, do you mean self reboots? Yeah probably half a dozen of those. Also have had it twice where the phone wouldn't reboot from the power switch and would lock after I've entered my SIM PIN. But switch off and try again, it's ok.
Cheers.

@beeblemaster
Ah. for the battery and the pop-ups, I think I may be able to help you.
On the ovi store, there is an app developed by third party developers called "battery extender" for s60v5. Don't know if it works though. Havent tried it. I'm fine with charging my 5800 every 2nd morning anyway. For the pop-ups, if you want longer pop-ups, try one of those third party alarm applications.
