I many times tried to update my nokia 5233 via Ovi Suite and Nokia Software updater. But failed to do so. The reason is when I tried to update via Ovi Suite. It shows the new version which is 21.0.40. After downloading 52 Mb out of 120 Mb it suddenly stops and do not download any further. Then after some time it says

"Downloading of the variant package failed. Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device"

If I try to update via NSU. The same thing happens. It stops downloading of firmware at 59.2 MB.

What is that. Whats wrong. I have many handsets updated with 100% success. Why this time, some thing stops the dowloading in the middle of it.

Can any one help me please. because I want it to update. I have a broad band connection of 1MB, which gives me almost 110Kbps downloading speed. So, I think there is no issue with the internet speed.

Please note I had hard reset before updating, installing , unistalling Ovi suite and NSU.

The new version is v21.1.004, released on 5.6.2010.
Consult nokia care in your city, as your device is showing the wrong one as new version.

Hence the latest version available need not be same for all even if the phone model is same...
