i buy a nokia 5230 1 mouths ago all is oke and fine.I updated the new gps soft and i instal maps oke i have remaining 46 mb perfect but now evere week aproximatly 0.1 mb go down and now i have 45.3 I not use nokia messa.. blackbarry or anything i not save sms and i not use the mobile internet for music and images i use the memory card...

Please help i dont whant to reset my phone every 2 or 3 mouths...Thank you very mutch

It maybe the cache. Everytime your phone connects to the web, it accumulates stuff in its cache memory, same as with a normal PC. Just to the default browser(and all other browsers you have), and go to options>privacy data>cache - clean it out.

Go to menu>apps>file manager>phone memory>options>details>memory check whats eating up your memory.

Memory in use:37Mb Free:45Mb Calendar:411B Contacts 8Kb, 573B Messages Documents 31kb Midps apps: 5435kb sis ap:13Mb other files:19

To day i have 45.1Mb

Every two days' time, do that again, and compare the numbers.  You will be able to see which is going up - that will be what is eating your memory.  Some app of yours is creating files, I bet.

Also, there is stuff in your messages folder - are you sure you haven't had any SMS?  Or email?  Voice mail notifications.. anything?

I upgrade the gps ovi soft and i install 2 map from nokia webpage all oke and when all installed remaining memori 45,7 mb and now i have 45,1 and i nothing do whit it..

So did you get the stats again a couple of days later?  Which areas increased in memory?

You definitely seem to have something in your messages folders - go to "messages" and check every single folder.  If there's nothing there, and never has been, that's odd because your read-out said there was 500+ bytes of stuff somewhere in there..

i not have any message i think the NOKIA PC SUIT is the problem , is it install a lott of stuff DS plugins and Service Controller i unistall all this stuff and now i have 45.2 MB

Those things are needed for the PC Suite Connection and may be considered important.

The fallow apps are instaled now: Amazon ,ApiBridge , DjMIX,Facebook,Friendster,Hi5,Myspace, nokiam aps,ovi maps,ovi store,roller,share location ag,-wi,share location and youtube thats all

I unistaled ervice Controller,Contacts Group DS,Media ds Plugin,mms ds ,sms ds.

and now i have 45.2MB but and first time whit the updates and maps i have remained 45.7

All massage folder are empty .

I not use mobile internet !

The phone is works fine but this phone memory play ( increase and degreas) are so nerd...and i whant to know what or who are dooing this..And is a bad or its normal in Symbian os phones...

I not use the nokia pc suit only the mass storage for music and images soo why are so brain the pc suit to instal a lot of stupid things

Those arent really "stupid" things. PC Suite has a lot of functions, like syncing to Outlook, Contacts backup, MMS and SMS messaging when phone is connected to PC, so you can just answer them on the PC Suite instead of grabbing your phone, etc.
