Well... the new firmware is working fine, yes... But even though I did a backup-upgrade-restore procedure some of my programs lost their settings, and one or two programs disappeared altogether... :-/
I also have the N-Gage 'file not found' issue, mentioned in some other posts.

I'm seriously considering an install from scratch...

Re: New firmware update v20 for N95 8GB

Updating from scratch is much preferred, not all installed apps before the update can be guaranteed to installed back after the update. Keep us updated about your experience with v.20 =)

Will do :-)

Before I attempt a 'from scratch' I first have to figure out which file contains the license for Spider Man 3, and whether I'll lose my 3-year navigation license with a 'from scratch'.

Re: New firmware update v20 for N95 8GB

Funny, 0558086 is probably a Telenor og Netcom branded phone. I have the generic Scandinavian version, 0550372 which is not offered an update as of writing. Could it be that Nokia wants to try this update on a small amount of phones first?

Hmm, I purchased my phone at Komplett and it's not branded in any way... But yes, they could be trying it on small batches first. I purchased mine March 3rd. Perhaps a newer batch than yours?

Auto rotation works great.

Only problem I have so far on v20 is that Conversation won't run (tried re-installing but still won't run).

Re: New firmware update v20 for N95 8GB

In what respect? My understanding is that is something to do with development, not something which affects the user experience?

Re: New firmware update v20 for N95 8GB

as far as i understand combo memory will partition some of the mass memory and use it as the ram memory. So this should help out with the applications that are open and allow more to run. Not sure.
