To all the owners of NOKIA N series phones. Especially N95.
NOKIA has the most corrupted OS that is unplausible to think how it is possible.
Some of the fucnctions and applications don't ever work properly.
The whole OS doesnt work properly and crashes every half n hour.
The N95 PC-Link software doesn't have the drivers still now.
Even the linking software to the pc doesnt work properly and crashes.
Do you want a good advice to fix all your problems with the N series?
Go to the nearest phone dealer, and buy yourself any other phone brand.
I am writing this becosue this morning I got so tired of all the N series problems. And after seing on tv that the whole NOKIA workers were on STRIKE for unplausible reasons, I decided to go to a phone dealer and try other brands of phones randomly.
At the end of my visit to the dealer, and a few other brands trials with my SIM inserted, every major known brand was working perfectly, as it is supposed to, and even the less appealing brands didn't had these idotic OS and applications problems that my N95 series has every day.
IF NOKIA IS SELLING PHONES, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO WORK PEFECTLY
Today I bought myself a new phone form another brand, I won't say which one, becouse it would be not fair.
But I assure you even the dealer was aware of the NOKIA OS situation, and told me that he will never own one.

great thanks for sharing but what is your questioin. ranting you can do by 'contact us' button usage.
no phone is perfect and no phone works perfect right out of the box let me assure you. every phone manufacturer in the world has issues due to pressure of releasing bigger, better, faster, more phones on the market so the consumers are 'happy' and have the latest gadgets. if we were a better customer this would not happen, but customer is inpatient hence the issue of phones having bugs and stuff. nothing new in this day and time. i have had numerous phones over the years winmo, htc, samsung, SE, nokia, LG, and yet i keep on coming back to nokia because it delivers what I need it to deliver. not all phones are for all people keep this in mind. we all make choices that we live with....buying a phone is one of them. doing research prior to purchasing ANY phone is always a brilliant idea so you have an ide of what you are buying. if you dont, then you get what you get. it's that simple.

I am not talking about added functions or applications that only NOKIA has or whatewer.
I am saying that NOKIA OS is obviously corrupted, and tehrefore it is not for sale.
There is only Microsoft who is selling defective OS for big money. And everybody hates them.
Now I am waware that NOKIA is doing the same, they are selling phones with OS that allready doesnt work properly.
I don't really want to contact someone who is selling corrupted goods to me.
I was thinking about suing these **bleep**.

hi alfavitay2k,
complaining about the N95?
funny guy, you didnt see the N97 yet! ![]()

I loved my N95, it was one of the best phones I ever had.
It had a shaky start with the early firmwares but Nokia released several updates which had my N95 running sweet as a nut.

Consider, too that S60 5th edition will be migrating to Symbian^2 in the coming year.
Some of the high-end devices are rumored to be upwardly compatible with the next level OS.

Look, i am afraid to sound weird mentioning it inhere, but how it is possible that the infamous iPhone never has OS problems, actually being the most friendly user phone right now?
I mean, NOKIA is supposed to be the leader of Cell Phone market, toghether with SONY, Ericsson, Motorola, nad HTC, but this thing so many people hate for real, the iPhone has a very good OS that never has problems.
The N95 is not at th elast place or wehatewer, it is just unreliable piece of junk.
It not only has the most grotesque software that doesnt work properly, NOKIA didnt ever managed to fix it in more than a year since it was put on the market.

dude im sure ur gona hit a block pretty soon lol!!! btw i do agree that the iphone is pretty gud BUT it does have its own drawbacks.......no fone is close to be called the "perfect" phone..... the iphone is pretty limited without a jailbreak......
and for the N95...to me it is the best N series device made to date!!!

oh jeez, this guy is funny, you say you are not talking about these bugs, but all your complaining about is bugs. Now im not a nokia fanboy or any kind of fanboy, i have a nokia phone, sony playstation 3, microsoft xbox 360, nintendo wii, microsoft zune, sony psp. Now i enjoy each for the own different features, and if you cant get an N series phone to work properly, then you should go back to your baby iphone and learn to grow some balls.
apologies for that kinda of first post but it had to be said ![]()

Bwahahahaha!!!!!!!!!
Excuse me while I regain composure....
Bwahahahaha!!!!!!
You were saying?
Now, do you have a specific problem you want help with or are you still here as an Apple iFanBoy trying to troll the forums?
I am not talking about those bugs here, What you posted above has nothing to do with my complaints.
I am saying that iPhone has developed the most user fiendly interface, with a perfectly sized screen and perfectly shaped and drown icons for human users.
In comparison my N95 was designed probably by a 3 years old infant, with a midget sized screen, midget sized icons, and most of all the midget sized kays. And the N95 OS crashes everyday, it is just enough to use one of the three heavy applications, such as e-mail, Music player, Camera software, Bluetooth.
Here are the most unplausible dysfunctoins i have on my N95 (last edition model):
Settings: The settings I make are not stored in memory and get deleted.
Key locking: I cannot find the way to unlock the keyboard when the slide is closed.
e-mail retrieval: I cannot access e-mail due to some deeply technical problem.
Camera - video software: It is impossible to find out the way to delete pictures.
Music player: It is impossible to transfer music from external sources.
Bluetooth: Two drivers are missing, it is impossible ot find them on nokia site, therefore the Bluetooth is useless.

@ alfavitay2k
I assure you that the iPhone has had its fair-share of OS problems. I am a former iPhone user and have switched back to Nokia devices as I'd had enough of Apple's ignorance and constant problems.
Early iPhone firmwares prevented the phone from doing simple things like sending an SMS to multiple recipients. I was not able to do this until the 3rd release of the firmware. It would hang regularly and needed constant reboots. When version 2.x came along, Apple messed something up severley. App Store issues, crashes, brickings, network problems, the 3G device couldn't hold onto a 3G network connection, wifi dropouts etc. One of the 2.x firmwares prevented thousands and thousands of users all around the world from even sending an SMS and would cause the phone's connection to the cellular network to just fail randomly. The SMS issue was finally fixed in an update that came a couple months later but users were left high and dry with this issue and the Apple call Centre in Ireland was flooded with complaints about the problems.
Wifi dropouts on the iPhone are still a regular problem for many users, as is 3G connection. The 3.x firmware that was released last month finally provided a lot of missing basic features like MMS, SMS forwarding (yes, it took Apple 2 years almost to get that into the iPhone), copy & paste etc, but many features were unavailable to the 2G handset users, like MMS. iPhone is the only phone that I know that needs 3G to send a picture message.
Everyone who I know that had an iPhone has got rid of it and gone back to Nokia. While comments about the UI are true (the iPhone GUI takes some beating, I agree) the grass is not always greener on the other side.
And I will restate my earlier comment once more. The N95 was (is) a great phone.

The only reason I wont use an iPhone, is that it has an internally locked very small capcity battery, therefore if you are to use it all day, it is simply impossible, becosue the iPhone wil shut down way before. And you can't even change it to a bigger capacity battery. It has probably the best developed GUI, but with the unremovable short life batteries it is unusable outdoors.
Anyway, the best phone ever produced that was really well designed still remains the SONY CMD-Z1.
1 Great external antenna.
2 Big enough display ( even if at that time it was monochromatic dot LCD )
3 Perfect hand fitted size ( same exact size of a sigarette box )
4 The first phone to use a search wheel instead of frontal keys.
5 It had all the features that are standard only today for other phones.
(becouse it was not a smartphone, it was only missing video and audio options)

If the Iphone is so great, why doesn´t every one in the world got one and there will bee no need for other brands.
Some people likes PC better than Mac and vice versa. Some people like Toyota better than BMW...

1) settings once saved are always there, i am not even so sure which settings you are talking about
2) If you press the power button once, (its on the top) you can then press left-soft key to unlock the phone, but as everybody knows the simplest way to unlock is slide it open, now if you do not want to slide it open, why buy a slider in the 1st place?
3) if you can not figure out those 2 above, there is no way you can indeed retrieve your e-mail
4) if you can ot delete pictures, then either you are trying to fool us that you dont know, or you are simply a troll
5) there is no need to find BT drivers for N95, what you need is to find BT drivers for your PC
either you are trying to be funny or you are simply a troll
