Lets face it. If my device was in great shape, I would be listening to music, sharing some pics, browsing, catching up with friends, checking & clearing some mails, sending some messages and getting more from my device. What the hell would I be doing on the forum so very often ?

I would only be here for 3 reasons

1. I need help on my device that's not working the way its supposed to be

2. I have nothing better to do

3. I get paid for it.

Some people do come on here to Offer Help and Advice. Not just to ask for it

Kudos ! and My apologies. For a moment I was blinded and forgot that something needs to be given back to the community. and i think thats this exchange board is intended to serve the purpose you mentioned. Totally Agree.

That should be infact the top reason to be here should be to offer help n advise, after seeking help.

At the same time, if I can't offer help & advise i would be a observer rather than making a comment ridiculing someone's irritation or making a judgement - "Bad Toy", "Spolit Brat", "Wrong Toy" etc

Pls read my comment in context - Its for users who apparently aren't able to appreciate the issues faced with others and just want to show them down.

Re: N97

And some people come on here to complain about people who are complaining about their device - how sad is that?

Re: N97

I am with edin1965 proud of my N97.. I also totally agree with what physomania mentioned.. N97 is a great phone although having the software bugs that will be solved with future firmware as it used to happen with previous Nokia phones. Remember the N95.. how it started & how it is currently now.. People forget about that & they keep praising the N95 forgetting that it's firmware is currently v31 or so....

I'm a heavy user of the web browser, Multimedia, & business tools on my N97... & I agree that it was a high disappointment to all of us to buy such a supposedly flagship device at that cost & get such bugs & hardware problems. But yet, I'm happy with it & I believe it's the best Nokia mobile right now. It's surely below the N900 which is truly a mobile computer for those who need a tablet mobile than a mobile..

If you like my post & find it helpful click on the Kudos button... Thanks.. ;-)

Re: N97

I think the thread start should just understand that many of us complaining about the phone are really frustrated. Think about it this way. I bought the phone when it 1st came out for $820. What does anybody expect when paying this much for a phone? They expect reliability, stability, amazing features, and good customer service. Now for some of us ( me included ) We did not get any of that. Just 2 weeks after buying the phone, I had to restart it  5 times a day because it kept lagging. And I wasn't even doing anything that takes up the RAM. Then comes the slider lock issue, which is so frustrating when it happens... and then there is the scratched camera lens. And what's worse is that I went to Nokia care and they said that " It's normal for a phone with a sliding camera cover to scratch the glass. " Excuse me?! It's normal?! How dare you question my intelligence?!

Ofcourse many of us would get frustrated. I guess I'm lucky I only have little now and then bugs after I updated my software to V12, but this is not what I deserve/expect for how much I paid to get this phone. This is my 6th Nokia phone in 3 years.. and after the terrible costumer service, it will probably be the last..... such a shame because I've always been a Nokia fan and I always promoted their products to everybody I knew.

Re: N97

3boodesta, I share Your opinion and understand it. V10 was not ready at all, now v12 is a lot better (at least I don't have any significant problems) and after a few days I suppose v20 will make the situation even better and then this device propably is what we were expecting and more.

Handbags?  Truedat!!

Nonetheless tis is half a decent phone - when it worksit is great but all too often just as you think it has been behaving itself it sticks or crashes ir shows hal a screen.

Fingers crossed v2 will be the saviour - v12 is almost there.

This site is great for help, tips and assistance - but also great to get your feelings off your chest anf hopefully someone at Nokia is watching and maybe listening!

By the way-  well done to Psycho for his work on this site  - particulary his campaign for UK firmware release - Just shows the power of the forum!

Current Devices:
N900, N97, 5800 & iPhone.
