Hello Guys,
I have followed this forum quite a while, now after getting the long waited v20 update i decided to say my own in regards to it. I' ll keep it short.
These are all problems I DID NOT have with v12. The verdict, beside k-scrolling i want my V12 back.

Have you tried fully resetting your phone with the *#7370# code which wipes the phone memory?
Here is my experience with it:
Google maps works perfectly for me.
Slider is working properly.
The gallery is faster than ever, but you have to let it rebuild the thumbnails so initially it can be slow.
Phone is very fast and very stable for me, not a single crash, pause or freeze yet.
No connection issues for email or internet.
No issues with the battery bar.
I did reset after updating after reading other peoples experiences with v20. Also got nearly 60mb of free phone memory too.

Try a hard reset
Mine i update over the V20 and i had problems with lok and unlock i made a hard reset, reinstaled again V20 and now works just fine, until now,no problem, just a freeze on the aplication mippin but it is posible to be from the aplication itself.
Sow in concluzion i advise to do a hard reset, reinstall V20 after that it should work just fine

same here, first thing i usually do with a phone or pc, is wipe them clean and reinstall
didnt do it and n97 was going crazy on me, did a hard reset, and since then was much better
installed v12 and even better though still had the slide prob every now and then
v2.0 not a cloud in the sky, works great

Hi all,
I bought my N97 since more than 6 month in the middle east and I've never checked for a new software update.
Now most a few upgrade to V 20 but my phone is still with V10.0.012.
My questions are:
1- Is it possible for me to upgrade directely to V20 ?
2- How can I do a hard reset ?
thanks for help

Yes,you can upgrade directly to V20
Regarding a hard reset you must type *#7370# (the default security code is 12345) or you can press simultaneously Shift-Space bar-Delete button-Turn On button.
As far as i know both metods do same thing ,i tried bouth of them and there are o.k.
ADVICE: do a backup first (in case if something go wrong) and do this hard reset before upgrade to V20
For formating Mass memory,go to File manager-Mass memory-Options-format mass memory.
Hope it helps
If you like my advice you can give me Kudos
Have a nice day

1: Yes, you can update from v10 to v 20.
2: Dial *#7370# and your phone memory will be wiped. You'll need to clear mass storage separately by formatting it in File Manager. This should clear the device back to factory condition, albeit with the new firmware if you upgraded it.

The 'four finger' option is useful if your phone is not booting properly (ie gets stuck at the Nokia boot screen) or you can't access the phone dialler to enter the codes.
