Anyone else out there had their N97 returned without repair by Nokia care with the reason of water damage? Happened to me today, problem is phone has never been near water and the indicators on the battery and under the battery in the phone are still white. I am taking the matter up with Nokia but would be interested to see if anyone else out there has had the same experience. I have already had one post on this subject removed by the moderators tonight even though it contravened none of their forum rules (other than the unwritten rule "thou shalt not criticise Nokia" ) so appreciate this may suffer the same fate but please pm me if you are a fellow sufferer.

Hi, I've had loads of problems with N97, but only time I used Nokia Care Point my handset was replaced ! Was if CPW , if so I suggest you find an alternative, Oh and you still have 2 posts running on this subject ![]()
Try contacting Nokia directly, customer care may be able to help, send an email explaining your problem.

Thanks Carman, it wasn't CPW . I'm in Cornwall with work atm and Nokia told me a phone shop in Camborne was the only care centre round here but I was not at all impressed with them. Do you reckon its worth a try in another care centre up North when I get back or is it already logged on the system somewhere that the phone has been sent off to a company called Regenersis and been refused repair due to the water damage they claim the phone has ?
I will e-mail Nokia, may be less frustrating than the phone call I made to them earlier today. Appreciate your help ![]()

definitely worth another try, and try insist it's sent to Nokia, will be away a couple of weeks, but you're likely to get a result !!

Thanks Carman, will give it another go when I get back up North. The phone has already been away, took them a fortnight to come to their conclusions but no harm in trying again ![]()
