N97 picture problem

Hi all.

Ive had my N97 for a few weeks and i'm loving it.

One problem i do have is with the picture viewer.

Ive uploaded pictures with no problems and on the phone they are in the downloaded folder which is fine.

How ever today ive gone to delete a few pictures and for some reason it now had a generic picture with a line through it.

I cant delete it or access it.

Ive gone through the phone manager to see if its there but its no longer there.

Ive tried turning the phone off and taking the battery out for an hour with no joy.

Has anyone had this problem and what did you do to correct it.

if it makes any difference its on the mass memory.

Cheers

Re: N97 picture problem

I have looked through previous post bu couldnt find anything about my problem.

Thanks for the link but it didnt help.

The files which are left on the phone after the pictures have been deleted are just empty files with no informatin.

When going to the options and looking at the details of the pic/files they have no details listed and no location on the phone or mass memory. its almost like the files have been corrupted.

Re: N97 picture problem

Search through the forum. Your exact problem have been discussed for a long time in several threads.

But don't expect to find a golden solution, because none have been discovered yet, which you will find out if you actually try to search. You will find suggestions on possible work-arounds though.

(Is it really that hard for people to actually search through previouys threads?)

Re: N97 picture problem

Remember 2 thing b4 copying old photos from any other phones esp. nokia n-series. The reason is all picture folders in nseries phone make one more hidden folder in them whose name will be  "_palbtn" (or something like that not sure) becoz this folder contains smaller thumbnails of ur images which act as a negative images for n97 gallery. First of all delete that folder, the second is copy all the pics in the image folder dnt make any othe folder in it. U can view these oics in the photos-> cadownloads. Try this n let me know if this is working or not.

Wow, why are you counselor's so touchy?!

have you considered that not everyone is an expert on forums!

The line from you in the following thread below is slightly necessary don't you think?

If someone asks a question you could either try and answer without the sarcasm or not bother replying at all.

Ok. So we could choose to just be quiet, and then you'd scream about nobody answering.

Or we could point out that the subject is already being discussed somewhere, and if you make a very small effort, you'd find as much an answer as anybody have managed to produce yet.

But instead you expect us to repeat everything that we have already written once more, just because you are lazy.

It don't take an expert to understand the search function. You just type in some relevant words above, in the search box, and fire away. How difficult is that???

So instead of being arrogant and touchy, why don't you actually take the advice offered, and see if you can't also become a contributing member?
