I'm using N97 mini for one month. I think what I didn't know, I already know, and what is a bug, seems to be a bug. Two of them are major:
1. I use autolock function (set on 60 minutes) and light time-out is set on 60 seconds. When it works, it works well. I mean, after 60 seconds the screen is off and to wake it up, I use "menu" button. It's OK. When I don't use "menu" button for 60 minutes it is autolocking device and to wake it up, I need to use slider at the side of the phone and input lock code. And it is also OK. The problem is when I shut down the phone (or it is dead because of no battery). After shut down and re-start this whole locking stuff works horrible. So after 60 seconds the screen is off and when I use "menu" button" the screan goes on again, BUT WITH TOUCH SCREEN BLOCKED. I mean no actions possible on the screen. To be able to do anything I need to: 1) Lock device using slider button at the left side, 2) Unlock device using slider button at the left side. What I have already noticed this passes by when I wait 60 minutes (!!!) and autolock happens. Then when I unlock with the lock code it starts to work normally.
2. When the phone is locked (after these 60 minutes) I DON'T RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATIONS ABOUT NEW MESSAGES! It happened several times: I take my phone into my hand, use the back slider button to unlock the computer, I input the lock code and when the unlocked screen appears then I receive info about the message incoming. But when I see to the received time - it is e.g. half an hour ago... I waited for important message once and I missed it because I took my phone into my hand too late.
3. e-mail... I configured my gmail mailbox in Nokia e-mail and ... after synchro I got only part of emails in inbox. Unfortunately old part, the oldest emails not the newest. Why? Probably because of a big size of my gmail mailbox. When I set number of messages (e.g. 50) and synchronize manualy, it is working good, but when I set autosynchronization, then only "all emails" setting is available and in that case the last email which I got is from September 2009. And it is connecting my mailbox every 30 min as it is set, with no errors, but with no actions also... I needed to install some other application, but I can't find the most suitable for me. What is worse, "Gmail for Mobile" doesn't seem to work on this device (when I try to install, it says "this application will not work on Mini 5"... !??!!!?
I will not list more bugs as they are not so significant and too many for this post...
