I am trying to do a backup to my PC before 3 finally roll out the new firmware but am worried its not doing it fully.  I have 1400 messages, some are MMS, but the backup takes very little time at all.  After the backup the messages app defaults back to C: from where my messages are located on E:.  Before getting the the FW I plan to do a full reset but have no idea if my messages are backed up or not...could it be that fast?

Hi, it is a trait ,when N97 is connected/disconnected to pc, that it almost always reverts to C as memory for messages, just set it back to E. Also back up would usually take more than a minute. If you use Ovi Suite to sync contacts and messages, it will store them all, I still have messages I've deleted on phone on Ovi suite.I would also recommend opening an Ovi account and set up syncing over the air, I have one and find sync and Ovi files very useful.
