My deafult connection is "Internet". Under Internet I have my WLAN as priority no.1 and my local telephone internet provider as priority no.2.
On the front panel I select WLAN and connect. After a few seconds the message on the panel shows WLAN connected. A few seconds later this message changes to WLAN networks found.
Is it still connected to the WLAN despite this message? If I choose to download my emails will it automatically connect first to the WLAN?
Is there another setting I need to make to ensure that at home (or at another wifi connection point) I access the wifi point? This is so as to avoid unnecessary phone company charges.
How can I tell whether I am receiving information through the local phone company or the WLAN?
I have looked through this site for solutions and have tried them all but I am afraid I am still in the same position and in the dark.

Go to destinations and in optionsselect edit, scroll to bottom and set to After confirmation then you will always be asked before you use contract internet, do this for all access points except wlwn which you can leave as automatically. Also in browser go to options settings, general, set to ask when needed, the phone should now always ask when you attempt to connect to web, and you decide how you do it !
Good Luck

My N97 always seems unable to connect to the internet even after it has successfully connected to my laptop's ad hoc wireless network .
And also can I browse on the n97 using my laptops internet connection whilst connected through my usb cable?
My old htc pocket pc used to browse the net as soon as i connected it to any pc with a connection.
