N97 and SIP out of the box?

Hi there,

 

I have a N97 with the latest firmware V21 and wonder, does it now support SIP out of  the box? I found a thread on this forum where one explained how to install necessary voip setting for the N97. Is this still necessary or does it now work out of the box? My N97 does not have a branding, so no harm from this side.

Yes, you still need to install the VoIP Settings application separately in N97. You'll find the application at Forum Nokia:

For instructions how to set up and configure VoIP, you can check the other threads on this discussion board or go to e.g. http://europe.nokia.com/home and search the FAQs with keywords "N97 VoIP".

Hi there,


just finished installing voip setup with Axon.

This works fine with softphones and linksys pap2 (inbound, outbound and extentions to eachother).

But on my N97 (V20.0.019) there's no sound.

Registration is done and axon shows the extension as available but  the call/line is opened without accepting and closed after a couple of seconds without sound.


Any suggestions on this
