Hello,

I have recently found out that my phone cant focus at all .. Using image mod, the camera manages to auto-focus and the images are amazing, but when it comes to video, its blurred !!

For example, if I hold the camera 25cm above a paper, it wont pick up any words, it will only capture black lines

The sentences are all blurred out. 

If I take a video footage of a friend that is 1m away, the details are better BUT are still blurred

Now the N97 has 5mega pixels and the N95 has 5mp as well, but my N95 captures sharp videos

Can someone tell me how can I fix this issue ????

I've seen a somewhat similar problem on my handset, but haven't had the time to look into it. Would be interested to see if anyone else had seen similar issues to this and if they've been able to resolve it, if in fact an issue at all.

Hello guys , I posted this earlier but no one replied with a try ! since you're talking about Video , did any of you try

 recording more than 15-20 minutes while the saving option is > E:Mass memory .

 I tried it like 4 times & it crashes , sometimes I hit Stop & it says Processing but then it's simply Gone with the wind !

 it only works for me when saving to the SD card .

 Appreciate a feedback soon .. thanks

I believe everyone with a N97 is fed up .. well most at least.

Can anyone help us in this problem ?? Nokia Employees/admins/mods/bots or who ever !!

The N97 is supposed to take CLEAR videos, not blurry ones

Added to the above :

I have also noticed that when video recording, the audio keeps changing its volume !!! For example : I stand 2m away from the phone while its recording, and make a contineuous sound, the sound's volume increases and then suddenly dicreases so much that I can barely hear it

 After that, the volume increases again and the loop is reset.

WHYYYY is that happening ? Is it a hardware error ? or is it a software problem ? 

I have installed v2.0 after a hard-reset today hoping that it will fix it..but it didnt

The video cam is fixed focus and set at infinity. That means it's no good for close ups. Same as on other n-series (N79, N85 and N96)

Not all of them, mind you: I read that the N95 and the N86 have a more sensible focus distance of about 2m. It's something All About Symbian have been very observant of.

Do they say why some nokia phones have the focus at 2m? I can understand the n86, cos it's first and foremost a camera phone. But the n95?
