Hi all, well I am currently on my 5th N97 after a whole host of problems and now my current N97 GPS doesn't function properly and i recently joined the Scratched Lens club too.
I am wondering if Nokia would entertain a group buy discount for those who wish to trade into the next gen N900 which appears on the spec sheet to be what the n97 should have been. If Nokia do offer a discounted price for all those wishing to buy an N900 before it comes out then it may keep my confidence in Nokia, however I have tried countless times to get my phone sorted and try and get some kind of acknowledgment for the fact that the N97 has been a faulty product.
Would anyone else be up for putting money into the N900 if they can offer us a group buy on the PreOrder of the N900 in the UK????
Kind regards

Only if the discount approached the retail value of the N97.
I think myself and a significant proportion of the N97 early adopter fraternity feel quite thoroughly sh@fted by Nokia over this one.
Flog us a phone with a big pile of issues and then release the Next Big Thing within 2 months. Ouch! That hurts...
Please Nokia, hit me some more!

I seriously doubt that N900 going to be any better than n97, brand new linux platform, availability of apps is next to nothing. If they coul dnot iron out sumbian based n97 I am sure number of bugs in n900 OS will be astonishing during first years.
I would rather file a class action - force these guys to take this "wonder" back and cover all costs to us.

may you put ma name on the list for the swap over for n900![]()
however the fact is that nokia are pretty busy promoting their new range of phones like the x series, n97mini and the "n900" and wont give a kcuf bout the n97 user or put in this way, beta tester for n97
. and other thng nokia might be sayn, this beta tester (n97 user) cant do much other than just keep on barking on the dissusion, hence forget them and lets move ahead.
i soooooo hate n97 and nokia with such a poor customer service.

nokia do something about ur users or u r gonna soon some down crashing with ur this strategy of busniess we u try some phones first in the market and then bring better ones...u fc** did same with n95......
get a grip and amke things right....answer to our questions noki?? that is the reason u have forum..bloody....

Nokia is going to ship a new N900 to my front door with a dozen roses and a box of chocolates as an olive branch for hooping me so bad on the N97.
At this point looking at ALL the WONDERFUL devices coming on the market in the next month, that is pretty much the only thing that could happen that will keep me from breaking up with Nokia.
In all seriousness -- Nokia don't care about the N97 users. If they did, we'd have legit SIP, Skype, Live messenger, the ringtone of our choosing - and last of all a Smart Nokia Tech chiming in on these forums from time to time giving folks a hand with some issues they have. Instead they just give the shaft. To see what i mean look Rons last post here - Instead of answering questions they just send everyone here where there is ZERO official support.
So in short - discount for a N97 group buy? Ummm, no in a million years. They already got your money mate. Thats what they care about.
