hi all,

it hasnt really solved my problem.

i set up an email account (or two) and i deleted them, but there is a sort of "ghost" account still there. it appears on my main messages list, but when i go to delete it, it tell me there are no mailboxes and ask if i want to creat a email account..

im dumbfounded... i think its a bug...

i tried to search the installation files, file manager etc.. couldnt see anything related.

any clues..?

Hi there,

I have the same problem.

When I want to create a mail account for a certain mailbox, the phone says the mailbox with that name already exists. But it is not listed in the list of the mailboxes. So, I can not delete is. But I can't add it either.

It is very strange, but when I use the mail widget on the homescreen, it shows some old mails in the mailbox. From there I can delete the mailbox either.

Any one?

Thanks heaps asandino. I'm pretty simple & couldn't work out the 'email launcher' bit on other answers either, but your very clear instructions made it so easy. :-)
