i'm having issues when using navigation with nokia maps 3.01.. on the map my position is lagging around 5-10 seconds behind where i actually am, even if i have stopped for example at traffic lights, my position on the map will still be 100m or so and slowly approaching.. often I have passed a turn off before it tells me to turn.. and then passed the turn it wants me to take already when it recalculates. gps on this has proved to be useless so far. is anyone else experiencing this. or found a fix?

Hello sir,
Thank you for your email. Firstly, I can confirm that at current Nokia Maps is being looked into by Nokia and has been escalated. We are aware of the problems with the software.
If you believe there to be an issue with the hardware in the phone, I can only recommend taking it to a Nokia Care Point for them to have a look at the phone for you, or to have your handset replaced.
Apologies for any inconvienience but I can assure you that the problem with maps is now definetely being looked into and hopefully there will be a resolution to the problem as soon as possible.
Thank you,
N97 support

The scale of this problem is not limited to just a few handsets, it's most of them judging by what I've seen on here and other forums. Even using Garmin XT and Google maps I had issues so it's not fully related to the mapping software you're using. I bet if you try it with an external Bluetooth GPS receiver it'll work fine.......
Nokia said the same to me, to take it to a Nokia service center. What they'd have done to help I don't know.
