Re: N97 Firmware V20. available from tomorrow...

Hello,

Some people get firmware updates now, some get them later, I think it also depends on the region.

I didn't check mine yet, and I live in Spain, hopefully today i will see a new update.

I don't know, but this link might be useful to you guys.

Re: N97 Firmware V20. available from tomorrow...

That so-called release schedule for N97 PR2.0 firmware has been debunked by Nokia staff.

It will start rolling out hopefully at the end of this month and that's all we know.

Re: N97 Firmware V20. available from tomorrow...

the reason i don't want to be using nimbuzz is that i already use nimbuzz for my msn and facebook, and it signs my skype in with these automatically, quite often i am using msn or facebook chat on a connection that is simply not fast enough to support skype calls, and people will see me online and try to call me, but i have to reject the call simply because it will not possibly work, i would like to be able to choose skype, and skype only when i am available to call.

Jesus obsessing Christ. No wonder Nokia doesn´t publish any release dates. People get aroused even on fake schedules.

Re: N97 Firmware V20. Available from tomorrow...

I keep telling my self that the phone will work like a German machine after the new update ... Well I think I am lying to my self I just feel sympathy after paying $800...

can an update fix all these problems ? I don't think so

I promised my self I will never buy a new released mobile anymore NEVER ! Specially nokia .. Let other people suffer first then ill buy.

If my information is correct the N97 Mini comes 23rd october with v20 - so it's very likely that N97 will get v20 on 23rd or earlier. That means: very soon anyway. Logical enough?

Sorry, but I just can't agree with that reasoning. There is nothing telling me that the N97 would receive V2.0 before the Mini comes out. If anything I'd guess it would came later.

And since even the release date of the Mini is a guess, that makes this whole exercise just smoke.

I agree with You - logic could be that way too. But at least there are some information about N97 Mini like http://www.electricpig.co.uk/2009/10/06/nokia-n97-mini-nab-yours-from-23-october/ and http://nexus404.com/Blog/2009/10/05/nokia-n97-mini-release-date-set-for-october-23-n97-mini-announce... and that's why I was expecting something happening 23rd october or before. So I think You are right and release of v20 happens at the same time as Mini, not before but I think not later either.

Re: N97 Firmware V20. available from tomorrow...

While the release date for the N97 mini with PR2.0 has indeed been confirmed, it doesn't necessarily follow that the N97 will also get PR2.0 on or around the same time.

It's still very much a case of "wait and see". With the emphasis on "wait" if you have a UK CV model...
