OK so my n97 does not vibrate at all when turned on or when touching the screen or when putting it on stand by mode throught the slide button...I mean it doesn't even vibrate when I click on the POWER button on top...this is all that I've done:
I updated my firmware last week or so and everything has been going great ever since then..yesterday my phone ran out of charge so it automatically shuts off on me, I kept it off and left it on charge all night long, next morning I unplugged the phone from the charger and switched it on, it was on the "General" Profile with the vibration on and the touch screen vibration on as well but the problem is NOTHING VIBRATES even when I turn off the back light with the side slide button IT DOES NOT VIBRATE it used to vibrate whenever I touched the screen and used the side slide button but now it does not work at all and it's on general!
so I don't know what to do, I kept on trying to figure it out through readjusting the settings and by turning the phone on and off and by taking off the battery but nothing so far..
any ideas? ![]()

Under the settings for each profile there are two options "Vibrating alert" = On/Off & "Touch screen vibration" = Off/Level 1/Level 2/Level 3
Check these settings, if you have both turned on then unfortunately I think you might have a hardware problem. Then the only option is to send it off to a Nokia Care Centre.
