Hi all,
My new N97 with the latest firmware version V 11.0.021 is giving me a hard time when it comes to Bluetooth audio in my car. The car, a Volkswagen Golf 6 has a seperate bluetooth receiver which is then connected to the car-audio system.
The problem is de quality of the audio. It sounds like there is a tick/clicking noise on the line. It's not a clear connection. I had the car bluetooth device replaced today at my dealer, but to avail.
My old N95 with it's latest firmware does NOT have this problem..this one works like a charm.
Can someone explain this to me?
Thank you in advance,
Daan

Hi, I have the same problem using a bleutooth headphone (original Nokia) Crystal clear on N95, now on N97 sounds like nearly out of reach and wanting to loose connection (actual distance approx 50cm)
Wonder if there is a difference in bluetooth version
Regards,
Hans

Hi Mouserider,
using it with or without a charger, it does not make a difference. I turned off Dual mode for GSM/UMTS but to no avail.
I'm reading on German VW Boards that people have the same kind of problems with 5800 models from Nokia, which use the same Symbian version as the N97.
Is the bluetooth stack different on these phones compaired to the N95?
Cheers,
Daan

hello all
i have a parrot bluetooth receiver installed in my vw touran, connected to the car hi-fi system. since it has worked with so many different handys, such as N95 and E71, which i used last. Now I have N97 and i am not able anymore to connect with parrot!
the N97 actually finds the parrot, showing it on the device list. but if i want to connect, there is always an error: unable to connect!
strange... is there a new bluetooth version used in N97? I wonder why it worked with E71, it should also contain the latest version.
thanks for your help!

Hello,
I found the following solution to resolve the poor sound quality problem of N97 with the Parrot OEM (e.g.. Ck4100) built-in Bluetooth car kits:
1, Switch of BT on the phone
2, Delete the pairing in the car and in the phone
3, Switch of the ignition - Switch on the ignition
4, In the Settings - Phone - Accessories - select Wireless car kit as Default using the Options
5, In the Settings - Connectivity - Bluetooth set Remote Sim to On
6, Switch on BT
7, Select New paired device in Paired devices and select More devices even if the car is already listed!!!!
8, Pair, authorize and connect as usual
9, Enjoy the good sound quality and the phone book access as well as signal strength and battery info on the car display
I hope this helps for the VW users, I tried on a Peugeot.
