If it says S60 Series Touch then yes. Click the item in the list and you'll be given a description of the app. Install it from there. It'll remove the version on your phone and install the new one to mass storage.
Make sure you have also used the Software Update utility in the main phone Applications Menu to install any updates from Nokia that may show there too, especially the c: Phone Memory update. I'd do this first before installing anything.

Do the Ovi check first. Don't forget Software Update, do that before Ovi!
Installing any programs you already have will replace/uninstall the other versions.

Sorry, I think I muddied the waters a bit. Facebook and email work fine on my phone, which just proves that the phone actually works, but it is (so far) AP News and AccuWeather that are both continually "loading". I have unistalled the two applications, reinstalled them on different drives, updated my firmware, spoken to people at the Vodafone store who said its Nokia, not them, and at the Nokia store where they told me to update my firmware.
Are there any other options that people can think of?

Try temporarily removing Facebook from the homescreen and power down the phone. Do the other apps work when it's turned back on?
A lot of users have reported issued with Facebook stopping other applications from working properly. Worth a try even if Facebook works.

Cheers for the suggestion; I removed Facebook from the home page and nothing changed, and I uninstalled it from the phone and nothing changed. I still have AP News and AccuWeather "loading".
Occasionally, when I click on the application, there is a tiny bit of progress; AP News will go to the application and say "connection error". Meanwhile, AccuWeather has, a couple of times, identified my current position, but never when I actually add a location.
Thank you for the attempts so far, and all future assistance is equally appreciated.

Have you tried doing the same with Accuweather and AP News, ie reinstalling them from Ovi? Do you have your data connections for internet configured properly?
The Accuweather app can be quite tempermental. Mine will occasionally lose its GPS fix and ask me to add my location. A reboot, removal and reinstating to homescreen or just leaving it alone for a while usually fixes it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the AccuWeather and AP News applications; the fact that it is two applications maes me believe that it is something a bit wider than a problem with a particular application. After all, Facebook and my email are working.
What are the proper connections?
I might go back into the Nokia store tomorrow and say that I've updated my firmware, so please help this technological numpty.

I was having this exact same issue, even after recently updating the firmware on my N97
I managed to fix it by deleting the WAP access point that came preconfigured on the handset and setting up a new wap access point using the settings specified at http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=28
Hopefully it'll work for some of you guys on Vodafone as well

Thanks for the suggestions. I have got WLAN, but wouldn't that only work around the wireless box thing?
I went back to Nokia, who were no help, and Vodafone today. The latter said it was an issue with the Ovi software and to get in touch with them, which I have now done and am just waiting on their reply.

Hi,
Same as everyone else on here been having problems with the widgets on the home screen mainly the weather one. Have like everyone else tried several things but to no avail.
This time i deleted off accuweather, facebook and then redone the wap setting as per the link (as vodaphone aswell). Restarted phone and then put accuweather on and also installed facebook via ovi store.
Amazingly this morning both seem to be working in tandem with the weather updating as well. Must admit ive had false postives before so will report back later. Hopefully it might have just been the original wap setting causing some of the problem.

I'd try to reconfigure to the settings, as suggested and still nothing changed.
I emailed Ovi store as suggested and they recommended that I speak to people at the nearest Nokia Care Centre, which was the Carphone Warehouse, who said that they needed a receipt or they'd charge £44 and that it'd take 14-28 days to get it back from Nokia who they would have to send it to as their engineers wouldn't touch it.
I then went back over to Vodafone to get a receipt, as I hadn't brought mine with me, and asked about getting a replacement handset. I'm now planning on doing the latter tomorrow as I couldn't do it today as Vodafone's SIDS computer system was down.
I feel I'm now out of options, so it's either new handset or do without for a month and that's a pretty obvious choice. Although it has been annoying getting sent around the houses; the people on here are far more helpful than the majority of official people have been.
