When I type a long SMS on my N96, once it gets to beyond 6 SMS send length, the phone seems to automatically change to a MMS message. Is there any way to change that so that it stays on SMS setting?
I respect that the reason the phone does this is to save money, but I am on a unlimited SMS contract and the main people I send SMS to cannot recieve MMS messages (due to various reasons) thus the reason I want to be able to set my N96 to send in SMS messages .
Granted it may be a system setting to do this, but is there any way to force the phone back to a SMS message??
Thank you in advance,
Rob

Yeh I have seen that it is for cost saving, but its annoying that it does it as I really don't want to send the message as a MMS haha!
I know its not up to the length of a SMS message because on my old 6300 you could send messages that were up to 11 SMS's long and same on my old SE P990i, it just seems to be a setting feature.
Ahh could be the firmware, although im stuck on v.12, due to Vodafone taking years to rebrand their firmware and release it, iv taken the view that if it is not out by the end of next week then I am de-branding, changing the product code and updating the firmware with the standard Nokia firmware, as from what I have heard, it has done wonders to the phone!
