N95 hissing sound during calls

Hi all

My trusty Nokia N95 broke down so i got a new one.

My old one was from the first batch of phones with "Nokia" on the battery cover, the new one is with "Nokia Nseries".

To my surprise i started to hear a hissing sound in the background during calls from the very first call i made..

Is it me or Nokia started using cheaper component on the newer devices?

because my old N95 was crystal clear in sound clarity.

Please note:

I'm using the latest firmware v31.0.017

The previous firmware (v30) which came with the device had the same problem.

Can the hissing be fixed?

If you feel that it's not normal you should take your phone to a nokia care point for inspection. It may have a problem with it's earpiece.
