N95 causes headache & giddiness

Hi, am wondering if anyone shares my problem. Am using a N95 for a couple of months now. Discovered that using it (even on standby and without taking a call) gives me an headache. Prolonged use/standby can even cause giddiness. I have never experienced such extent of this problem before even with my old phones (eg. Sony Ericsson, Motorola). Is it something wrong with this particular model, or with my particular phone? Is it because of the GPS function (my old phones don't have this function)? Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

I suggest you visit a doctor. I don't think the phone is responsible for your symptoms.

Re: N95 causes headache & giddiness

Sounds like you're particularly sensitive to the radiation from the phone. There has been a lot of fuss about the affect that has on people over the years. A recent study said that there are no adverse affects .. doubtless the study was financed by a phone company, of course :smileywink:

Probably because of the fuss, I often feel like my head's getting hot when I use mobile phones with the handset to my ear. I suspect it's just my imagination - but maybe it's not.

Have you tried using the headset that came with the phone? I find that works for me.

Re: N95 causes headache & giddiness

Thanks for all your replies. I admit that I am quite susceptible to the radiation waves from mobile phones. With my old phones, I only get a mild, short lasting headache when taking a call. With this N95, I get headache plus giddiness not just during talking, but also when the phone is switched on and on standby beside me. This will go on until I switched off the phone and put it aside. Then the headache/giddiness abates and disappeared over the next few days. Thus I don't think the headset will help nor seeing a doctor (in fact initially I saw one & he diagnose ear infection as causing the giddiness). Will try bringing the phone to Nokia Care and hear what they say (I'm afraid they will tell me the same things as what you guys are saying). But thanks all the same!

not meaning to scare you but sensitive or not to radiation i think you should see a doctor SERIOUSLY!
This could be warning signs to bigger things
Please see a doctor at least to reassure yourself

This could be a mental problem/conflict. Visit a docyor. Try to talk with peep with LOUDSPEAKER activated.

Or,

May be talk with your ear-piece plugged in? I do that and left mine plugged in most of the time; it does takes a bit of time to get use to the hanging wires around you. ^_^;

Cheers.

Re: N95 causes headache & giddiness

Hello saw your message, I am having similar problems with the N95, all I have to do is switch it, not even use it. After using the head phones it was like been whacked over the head for even 2 days after I stopped using it. Did you come to a conclusion apart from not using the phone?

Re: N95 causes headache & giddiness

you should not use any device which has this effect. you MUST see a doctor. advice from an older member. it's wonderful to see younger members giving the same advice. the symptoms you describe sound like an allergy to something.

Hi,

I've actually been searching the internet for a couple of days now to see if anyone is also having the same issue with n95 as i do. So i guess it's not mere psychological effect that I'm experiencing. I bought my nokia n95 8gb last jan 27, 2008. Since then, even if i'm not using it, so long as it's near me, my head often feels heavy and at times, feels aching... I noticed one thing. There's no interference caused by my phone when i make a call or sms or vice versa near a landline which normally happens from other mobile phones. Does n95 utilize some new technology? Do you think it has something to do with what i and the others are experiencing?

Re: N95 causes headache & giddiness

To be fair, I think you're kidding your self and want to see a doctor, and possibly a mental hospital.

I work with WiFi and Mobile phones day in, day out, some with power above normal and I'm fine. GPS won't even cause problems to anyone as its no where near 2.4ghz which is what a microwave is on, and as for these devices, there isn't enough power from them to cook a human.

Sounds more to me that you have an illness, and/or just want to make attention for your self. Its like most stuff regarding radio waves, its over the top hype to scare people.
