N95 Panoramic/landscape photos

When I am taking a photo and when I initially look at the results of it, it fills the full screen. When I look at them in gallery some fill the full screen, some taken in landcape (ie holding the phone sideways) have the tops and bottoms chopped off and I have to rotate them to get them back in their correct form.

1) This is very annoying having to rotate

2) How can I stop it doing this

3) how does it know which way round I've taken it!!?

Re: N95 Panoramic/landscape photos

one of the options in the camera application is for landscape/portrait, maybe setting it to the applicable setting when taking landscape/portrait pics might work.. not sure

It's a bug that I face too. Every now and then there are some pictures that will lose its orientation and needs rotating.

In the photo camera settings there is the option "Rotate image". Deactivating it will solve your prob.
