N95 8gb ver 30.0.18 not receiving text messages

According to Three this is a problem with the software version which Nokia has not fixed yet. Anyone else experiencing this and any successful workaround?

Three recommended me to reinstall the software and format the phone. It works for a while then the problem just comes back and they just offered me a replacement handset.
