Can anyone advise? My N91 got a slight knock on holidays last week (nothing major, I just dropped it onto my bed), and since then the screen is completely blank.
All other funcions of the phone work, including taking pics and vids (although I can't see them without a PC), making and recieving calls and the music player etc.
Has anyone else out there ever experienced anything like this and is it repairable?
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give.

Hi Mick, I have both N91 and N91 8GB yet I didnt hear if it fell of on somethin the screen gets completely blank as you said above.
I guess it is repairable, contact the local nokia care centre.

Before that, you can do couple of things:
try the three fingers action.

Something in the motherboard may have moved, if you haven't had the phone for more than 2 years then you can take it to a Nokia Care Centre like korngear, and they can repair it under the warranty because these things sometimes happen.

Thanks lads. I didn't actually know it was covered under a 2 year warranty, I thought it was only a year. Thats great news!

Yeah, better than other mobile manufacturers.

This gaurantees you can have a working handset for 2 years (24 Months), so if you are on an 18 month contract you still have repairs or support for another 6 months.

I'll drop into my local Nokia Care point on Monday, I guess I better not mention that I dropped it though!? Even though it only fell onto a bed!

Yep, but it should be repaired for free, i mean a bed!

The rocky floor would have been worse mate.

Just take it in as normal, but the repair date maybe long sometimes, near about 2 weeks.

But yeah they should repair it for free under the warranty as i some people have had this issue with some particular handsets and they have had it back from the care point as good as new.

Thats great news as I said earlier, I was fearing a very expensive repair bill. I don't mind the long wait either as I have another phone plus my work phone.
If it can't be repaired, will the warranty cover a replacment?

FYI - I dropped my phone in to be repaired on Monday evening and they rang me this afternoon(Friday)to collect it. Thats less than a 5 day turn-around time and its perfect now. New LCD filters, new LCD and upgraded to the latest firmware. All absolutely free. Well done Nokia, you can't argue with that kind of service!!!

Hi mate, i've got an Nokia 5200 and one day i looked at it and it was completley blank but it still work as in getting calls from other people. I wanted to know where to get it repaired from?

Well i'm facing the same problem .When my phone is in screen saver mode and when i activate the screen again,the screen goes blank or rather white with several vertical moving lines.Please help me understand this problem and a solution
