N900 And OVI or PC Suite

I cannot transfer files from my N900 to my PC or PC to N900 without a compatable  Ovi or PC suite. Is there any other way to do this ???

You should post this in the Maemo forum, here:

/discussions/board?board.id=maemo

 

However the N900 has two USB modes.. PC - Suite (which requires you have PC Suite 7.1 installed on your computer) and USB mass storage mode.. In this mode, the N900's internal storage will appear as a USB drive, just like a USB memory stick..

 

You will be able to transfer files using USB storage mode or if you install PC Suite..

There is very limited PC suite support via USB and I believe the support via bluetooth is reduced more so.. though I've not tried myself.

 

I have, however, used a mac to send files to and to browse my N900 via bluetooth
