Anybody knows if it's possible to deactivate the N86 display rotation, without turning sensors off?
I find it annoying that the display tilts vertical just with small movements of the phone, and it's annoying that the display is vertical nearly every time I pick up the phone. But I would like to have the compass working, silencing calls and snoozing alarms possibilities, so turning sensors off is no option for me.

Hi hansen,
You can turn of the display rotation while keeping the sensors Active:
Go to Tools->Settings->General->Personalisation->Themes-
In this area you can select Options->Theme effects, and set them to Off.

No, this setting does not deactivate the display rotation. It only controls the fading transition between screens. So this suggestion did not solve the rotation annoyance. At least not on my phone...
Anybody else have other suggestions?

Hi,
I'm afraid, you can't (At least not on the actual SW version).
Probably Nokia is coming up with a new SW version in the future where this two items can be configured independently. You can also try to contact Nokia with the "Contact us" button on the top right to suggest this SW change.
