N86: Does pasting text work in some Symbian default browser versions?

Hi there,

I've got an N86 with the v11 firmware. I was told by a Nokia representative that it is possible to paste text in text fields in the browser that comes with the v.20.115 firmware. You just hold the # key and the 'paste' text appears above the right selection key. Note that I'm talking about text fields on the web pages, not for example the address field of the browser.

With my v.11 firmware, when I surfed to www.google.com and tried to paste text to the search field, I failed to find any means to do this, the tip from the Nokia guy didn't work.

But my firmware is old, so..

Does pasting (maybe copying too?) text finally work in the default browser of firmware v.20.115?

I was unable to find a way of pasting into the google search box in sw 20.115.

If I hold # key nothing happens, if I press * then paste isn't an available option

Thanks for trying - this doesn't surprise me, actually. The Nokia Care guy apparently misread my e-mail and tried the one thing I didn't ask .. :/

One more thing: I wonder if you could try holding the # key "for a few seconds" (maybe more)? That's what the guy told me to do, so I was wondering if it just takes more time.

yep, doesnt' seem to matter, keep holding, but nothing happens. If you are outside the input box then hash acts as zoom out.
