Rite I think I have a realli wierd issue with this phone
Just about every function I've used is fine
BUT
1. The phone likes to switch the dates when it likes. It happened to my first N85, and it's happening with the replacement. I don't know why it's doing this exactly but I've kept a record and it's always skipping 6 days ahead and seems to correlate with setting alarms?

Funny how such a petty little issue/problem can be quite the nuisance at times. And to think that my previous phone had no such problem makes it a little annoying too. But other than this I guess I'm satisfied with the phone quality and performance-wise.
Do get back to me if any of you guys get a response alright?
Cheers

Hi all,
I'm actually in Canada but the North American support forum site is down for some reason.
I recently purchased a Nokia N85 and have noticed several bugs. The most infuriating bugs are with the music player. It often freezes requiring me to actually remove the battery in order to reset the phone. Not only that but the music is TOO QUIET even at 100% volume. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the supplied headset?
Another issue is RealPlayer not connecting even when I'm on an excellent Wifi connection.
Any answers from anybody would be much appreciated. The bugs I'm most concerned with are the music player bugs.

Hi Kris. Sorry to hear you're also having problems with your N85 in Canada.
I suffer from the music player often freezing too, bur i find i can still open the menu and turn the phone off using the power button. This usually resets the music player. Other people suggest removing the headphones and plugging them back in to reset the music player, maybe that could work for you?
As for the loudness, have you tried using different earphones. I find using the Nokia ones are kind of too quiet. I use some Sony ones that came with an old Walkman and they work fine for me.
Hope this helps. Rik.

Hello !
I'm having a little enoying problem with my N85 in Sweden. When I plug it in to my computer with the USB-cable the little popup "new driver detected" comes forever all the time, in this little popup it says "MTP Device". It won´t stop, I've tried to update my PC Suite, update the N85 but it doesn´t work.
How do I get this little enoying thing to stop?
Here´s a picture of the problem:

Since I upgraded to the latest version, my N85 wont play music through the headphone or the FM transmitter. Only through its own speakers. When I turn the FM transmitter On it does nothing (stays off). When I plug in my headphone and choose headphones, its stops playing.
I would much rather have my old small annoying bugs (restarting every now and then), then the new version that restarts more often, an no music functionality.
N85 is the worst phone you can Buy. DO NOT UPGRADE your software!!! You hope that it will be get better, it has only ever gotten progressvely worse with each new upgrade.
Is there anyway I can go back to the orginal softway version?
I have to spend two hours a day, every day, driving and not listening to my music/ebooks thxns to nokia.
So tired of this expensive piece of rubbish.
