I havent really listend to music using the speakers on the N85, but i did today and i noticed something strange. All of my music that I play sound like its being echoed. It sounds like its being played inside of a bathroom or something. I dont know if this is a bug or not, but the quality sure does suck. I tried messing with the equaliser and the audio settings, but it stayed the same. Has anyone else noticed this?
Make sure that Stereo Widening is not enabled. That's under the Audio Settings.

Before the first firmware update, the quality through the speakers used to be much worse. Make sure you have updated to v. 11.047. You will notice a slight improvement (a bit less distortion). Anyway, the overall N85 music player quality is real bad through the speakers, through the line out and through the headphones. The volume is very low and there is a very high level of distortion, so don't expect miracles.
Today I discovered another bug whilst using the web browser. When you open it and go to a website that has already been bookmarked (with the slider closed) and you want to type a new address, the keypad stops working. You need to exit the web application, close the slider, reopen it and then type the address.
I guess we will need to wait a few months for all these bugs to be fixed in the next software update, although I doubt the music player quality will improve.

Hello!
I bought my N95 8 gb a few days ago and I think I found another bug, I haven't read here about.
Last evening I set up an alarm, so I am not late for my work. Unfortunatey, over night my Nokia turned off somehow, by itself. The battery was fully charged, of course I was late and really angry. I am going to check if the problem occurs again tonight. - any tips how to cope with it?
Another thing is that my Nokia got frozen like 2-3 times already (common problem)
I don't know what to do because I spent a lot of money on that "toy". I really like the phone, but if these problems are going to repeat in the future, I will have to replace or buy different model.
I am really dissapointed, this is my first Nokia ever, before I was using mainly Samsung cell phones and didn't have such a problems...
p.s
I don't exactly know which frimware do I have, but will look for it soon - and maybe there will be any upgrade available for me, hopefully :/

Don't put yr hope up high. I just got my N85 A COUPLE DAYS AGO. It means i started off with that new firmwear or whatever it should be, IT HAPPENED RIGHT AFTER I'VE DONE WITH IT. THIS IS THE SECOND ONE, BY THE WAY. The first one, i was more lucky, the screen just didn't work. Nothing show. So i got it replaced. I called call center and mentioned about this problem. Restart and sh.t. They said, THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT IT. I show him this page. He said this's a comment. I said "these r from yr customers and from what i've lerned it's really resourcesful information for the company. He said none of them r from my country; Thailand. So in denial. I told him i don't want to make it a big deal. he said what he can do is recommend me to go to Nokiacare and believed they will fixed it for me. Should i try? We have to many examples.
I also restore the setting to the factory setting (This's in the Tools --> Setting --> General --> Factory Setting and the code's 12345) , format the memory card. GUESS WHAT? THE THING STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY I tried Camera, it restarted after i took 2 pictures. In the 3-D tones function, it restarted after less than 5 songs. In this case, each one was just like 5 sec. i couldn't pick the one i like yet. By the way, sound quality's suck.
I could keep go on and on. What a wasted of time and energy. SAMSUNG IS A LOT BETTER AND CHEAPER TOO.
There are a lot more i can say but i think NOKIA won't give a **bleep**. If there product has this must problems they should recall it already.
DO SOMETHING NOKIA. BEING NUMBER ONE IS NOT THAT HARD BUT KEEP BEING ONE IS A LOT HARDER.

Today I contacted Nokia about my restart problems (while charging and while using camera/viewing photos/or videos). I pointed them to this topic on the forum and asked what they were going to do about it.
I will here quote the reply that I got (translated from Dutch):
Regarding the problems you are experiencing with your Nokia N85.
Our technical department could not reproduce your problems, therefor we recommend you to bring your Nokia N85 to one of our official dealers so that they can have a look at your phone.
On the following internet address you will find a list with official Nokia dealers:
http://www.nokia.nl/A4394002
So they want everyone with resetting problems to go to a Nokia dealer. This is madness! The company that I loved for many years has finally let us N85 buyers down... Since they state that they cannot reproduce the problem, I think they are also not going to fix it in the next software update (I asked about the following update too but they just ignored my question about that).
I've always recommended Nokia to friends and family and colleagues because of the excellent service but it seems that I'm gonna have to change that and add this ongoing suffering to it... I think I'm going to a Nokia Service point and demand a working device there...
Sad, very sad, but it seems Nokia will let us all down in the end.........

@ urban, hey that is great news that you got it sorted and you are finally happy with your device. and i am totally with you on the n97 waiting launch date. actually i can't wait i just want it now !
Yeah!! But this time I'm going to be smarter and only buy the 2nd batch of N97. I don't think I can deal with the lousy service that I have been accorded by the Nokia Care.

I got the email address of my country HQ's Customer Relations from the Nokia Care. Try asking your Nokia Care?
